We had manger scenes from Germany, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Kenya, Bethlehem, and other places besides. Some were made of clay, some of olive wood, some of corn husks. One took up an entire table, while another could fit in the palm of your hand.
No matter where these different scenes came from, though, they each depict the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, the Savior of the world. And for Christians, the birth of Jesus brings with it the good news that God is with us.
